What's underneath a Scotsman's kilt?

Prostate Gland

Prostate Gland

The Prostate stores and secretes a clear fluid that constitutes 10-30% of the volume of Ejaculate.

Penis

Penis

The Penis acts as a road for Ejaculate (when erect during sex) and allows urine to leave the male body.

Testicles

Testicles

The Testicles produce Sperm and Testosterone (a hormone that signals for the male sex).

Epididymis

Epididymis

The Epididymis is a tube that connects each Testicle to the Vas Deferens and is the first part of the road Sperm use to travel.

Vas Deferens

Vas Deferens

Vas Deferens are the second part of the road Sperm use to move from the Epididymis to the Prostates Ejaculatory Ducts.

Sperm

Sperm

Sperm is responsible for reproduction. Males produce millions of these cells each day, yet it takes only one to fertilize an egg.

Seminal Vesicles

Seminal Vesicles

The Seminal Vesicles are two convoluted tubular glands that secrete fluid Sperm use as food, making up to 80% of the volume of Ejaculate.

Cowper's Gland

Cowper's Gland

The Cowper's Gland (Bulbourethral Gland) produce pre-ejaculate, a lubrication fluid, which neutralizes acidity so Sperm can pass safely.

Who are we?

In a nutshell, we are a recognised (registered) charity based in Glasgow, Scotland, with a branch in Edinburgh and local groups around Scotland. We work to forward the health of Scottish men, not in individual disease but as a whole. We would love your support in this endeavour and for you to look around our site and read our brochures. As we regularly come out in public, please come and say hello and tell us you’ve seen our site. Feedback helps us get better at what we do.

Men build too many walls and not enough bridges.

Len Dawson

“Granted, prostate exams aren't the most enjoyable things in the world, but they only last about 10 seconds. It's well worth it. Just think of the possible consequences if you don't get it done.”
